Kym Nicholas explains why Barcode Hero is different from other iPhone apps, particularly those that jumped on the “Christmas App bandwagon”:

Honestly, from a business perspective, I think Barcode Hero has it right in integrating the ‘wishlist’ into its app that people can use year-round.  We all have too many apps on our smartphones that we use just once, and then they just clutter up your phone after that.  I prefer to find apps that are constantly evolving to fit my needs.
