CASE HISTORY AND SAMPLE CLIPS

Showcasing Economic Development Groups at GDC

Australia has a burgeoning game development industry, offering technical skill, jobs for ex-pats and several console and mobile developers with original IP. The Game Developers Association of Australia (GDAA) approached The Bohle Company to help the association become more visible to U.S. publishers looking for contract work and to increase visibility for Aussie developers’ many original titles.

The team started booking appointments one month prior to GDC. We secured 22 appointments. Top-tier publications included Gamasutra, PC Gamer and GamePro. Industry analysts were also briefed on the current state of Aussie game development including Michael Pachter, research analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities and Billy Pidgeon, research manager at M2 Research.

Bohle staffed each and every appointment at GDC, while making sure – via post-show follow-up – that journalists/editors had everything they needed to work on their pieces.

The crown jewel for our GDC program was a roundtable discussion with a half dozen Aussie developers published by Develop magazine in the UK.
