Building a Winning Deck for Octopi
Octopi launched the open beta test of PoxNora with more than 2,000 avid gamers anxious to test out the new online strategy title, thanks to help from a targeted media blitz by The Bohle Company.
A Java-based game that combined several distinct game genres – collectible card games, tabletop strategy games and fantasy role playing games – into a game that promises a distinctive competitive experience, PoxNora was Octopi’s first in-house title and The Bohle Company’s background in technology and video games made the agency an excellent choice to handle public relations.
The team quickly built community buzz, handling media outreach to online and print enthusiast media and plans to book plenty of meetings at Gen Con Indy to help Octopi spread its tentacles. Several features in print magazines for the trading card and strategy game player later, the company had acquisition offers, and Bohle’s job was done.
