Bohle Gets Serious about the Role of Games in Learning
The Bohle Company promoted the first industry’s Serious Games Summit, a conference intended to generate interest in “serious” games – simulations and other types of training products which incorporate game play — used in military, education, health care and other fields
Strategies:
• Identify leading experts on the topic, willing to spend time briefing editors
• Get out ahead of the conference to explain why editors needed to attend and what angles they might find interesting
Results:
• After a first seminar, held within the Game Developers Conference, CMP spun the conference out as a separate, profitable event
